Welcome to the EDGE Certification Training Pay Equity and Transparency course.
This course has been developed for auditors working with EDGE-approved Certification Bodies, as well as other partners who need a detailed understanding of the EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification and how the certification process works.
You will first be introduced to the broader EDGE Certification system and the EDGE ecosystem, before exploring the EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification, its requirements, assessment components and certification pathways.
You will learn how an EDGE-compliant Pay Equity Analysis is conducted, including the methodologies applicable to organizations of different sizes, and how Policies and Practices relating to Equal Pay for Equivalent Work are assessed. The course also covers the documentation and independent verification process supporting certification.
Finally, you will see how the EDGE Empower Pay Tool supports organizations in conducting the required assessments and preparing for EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification.
By the end of this course, you will have a detailed understanding of the EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification framework, methodology and process. Auditors will have the technical knowledge needed to apply the relevant EDGE requirements during independent verification.
This course is intended for auditors working with EDGE-approved Certification Bodies and other partners who need to understand the EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification, its methodology, requirements and certification process.
No prior knowledge of EDGE Certification is required. The course begins with an introduction to the EDGE Certification system, the EDGE ecosystem and the broader EDGE framework before moving into the specific requirements of the EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification.
You will learn about the EDGE Certification framework and ecosystem; the EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification and its requirements; the EDGE Pay Equity Analysis Methodology; the applicable certification pathways; the documentation and independent verification process; and the EDGE Empower Pay Tool.
Yes. The course concludes with a knowledge assessment covering the key concepts, methodologies and certification requirements presented throughout the course. Auditors must achieve a score of at least 80% to successfully complete the training required to conduct EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification audits.
